Deadwood Player of the Year criteria for 2008
Place in any qualified open Deadwood, South Dakota poker tournament. Closed tournaments such as ladies, private tournaments, freerolls
don't qualify.
Cadillac Jack's, Saloon #10, and Silverado are qualified participants.
Points
awarded as follows: One point for each person entered in a tournament.
1st receives 50% of available points, 2nd receives 30% of available points,
3rd receives 20% of available points. Example: 30 people entered in a tournament:
1st receives 15 points, 2nd receives 9 points, 3rd receives 6 points for that
tournament. If buy in for a tournament is $100 - $499 multiply score by 2 and if
$500 or more multiply by 3. If the purse of a rebuy tourney averages $100 per player
it will be scored as a $100 tourney. All tournaments with 40 or more players
will give points to top 10% up to 10 players. Example: 50 players in a tournament,
5 players share 50 points as follows: 1st - 20 points, 2nd - 14 points, 3rd - 9 points,
4th - 4.5 points, 5th - 2.5 points. All Deadwood Shootout Tournaments will give top 10% of players points. E-mail sugestions and comments to

The Deadwood Shootout and any other special tournaments with large buyins that are not closed (see item one) will have a special points scale. For the full points scale of all types of tournaments click here. Points have been posted for all 2008 Shootout events.
PLAYER WITH THE
MOST POINTS AT THE END OF 2008 WILL RECEIVE A TROPHY (sponsored by The Deadwood Nuts).
The top 20 finishers for the year will recieve
cash at the following rate: 1st=25%; 2nd=15%; 3rd=10%; 4th=6%; 5th - 10th=4%; 11th - 20th=2%
Cash sponsored by Cadillac Jack's, Saloon #10. and Siverado. Size of prize depends on
number of qualifing tournaments. Updated on Mondays and Tuesdays.

2008 will be awarded in January at the Saloon #10 on Sunday January 18, 2009 at 1:30 pm with a $100 tournament following the awards.
